Nazi socialism was a tacky imitation of social welfare programs in Bismarck's German Empire, whereas early Israel did have some prime ministers who tried socialist experiments, as well as people who tried implementing socialism at the village level (as seen by the famous kibbutzes). Nowadays, yes, Israel is only as socialist-like as what National Socialists tried to be, but it wasn't always that way.

If Israel was communist we would not have an Israel because Maki toed to the line of reconciliation and agreements with the Palestinian, due to the nature of communists within it and external pressure from Moscow. We would have a unitary state in Palestine, not an Israel.

Hell no. Communist Israel would've been a disaster... kibbutzim were one thing, but full-blown Marxism means economic collapse, Soviet-style purges, and zero U.S. support. They'd have been crushed by Arab armies without American weapons. Plus, good luck convincing Jews fleeing oppression to walk into another dictatorship. Worst of both worlds.

This is the true answer. Perhaps Israel might've played it safe and implemented the ideas of Bukharin and present-day China even before China got their shit together. Perhaps they might've realized that while Marx had some ideas, Lenin fucked everything up with his 'vanguard party' crap essentially guaranteeing dictatorship and violent purges, and abandoned Leninism entirely. But without American support Israel is toast.
