Hello. I am an Ebionite/Nazarene that practices. Ask me what I believe about God, ethics, and the origin of evil and the evil one.

I want to specify that I do not believe in the false dogma of creation ex nihilo. I believe that matter is eternal, and in fact, an emanation from the very substance of God and that God possesses a material body of infinite extent, comprised of the Hebdomad. I believe that God used his Wisdom, the Logos, the Holy Spirit, as his hand in creation to organize matter into the current cosmos.

I believe that Jesus Christ is a supra-angelic being of pure light who is, in a sense, homoousian with God, but by grace, and in fact all of us are homoousian to a certain degree with God since our substance was taken from him (Psalm 82:6 "ye are gods... etc."), both the matter of our body, and our soul which God breathed into us. But Christ is the most pure emanation of God's divine substance, pure light, unmixed with the other elements, as our souls have become, and especially the composition of the evil one (Satan).

This is the doctrine which is taught in the Clementine Homilies, containing the teachings of Peter.

Why couldn't this version of Christianity become orthodox? Instead what we got is so fucking boring in comparison. You had all these ancient Christian sects with all these cool metaphysics and shit but then the literal most boring one became mainstream. Imagine if something like Marcionism went mainstream.

It's not an esoteric secret if everyone knows it. When Christians started to do the esoteric thing again in the 1500s it ended up the same way.

ipso facto is the greatest barrier keeping the human mind from the heart, humans have a REALLY hard time getting past ipso facto because they "feel like" or they "want to believe" what they think, instead of what is actually demonstrably true and has been true in history. True atheism is less than 100 years old, it is the most unproven metaphysical explanation system in the world and has also produced more death and human suffering than anything else. So if we discount atheism and come back to faith in deity as a concept,

I thought Ebionites had a low christology and considered jesus a righteous human teacher. Do you keep all the jewish laws like the ebionites? You sound more like a Docetist desu

I keep the Sabbath, believe in circumcision, and practice vegetarianism, so yes.

False! I reject the Pharisees, and their descendants the Rabbis. They do not teach rightly about the scriptures, saying that even the false things in the scriptures are correct. They also have an oral law which was never given to Moses. The Ebionites, on the other hand, knew how to read the scriptures because they had the true oral law, and they had the teachings of Jesus Christ, the True Prophet, who was both omniscient and infallible.

Youre not an ebionite if you think jesus is is a supra-angelic being of pure light. Every church father says the ebionites believed jesus was mere man and the jewish messiah.
