Lost purpose
So i am just gonna beginn. A few weeks ago i did something that caused me a lot of anxiety, i started overthinking everything to unhealthy levels. My brain is fucking fried right now. ChatGPT says my brain wilm recover with time but thats not what i came here for. Just thought i mentioned it.
All my life i saw myself as a warrior of good fighting for what is right and had a rgibg hatred for evil, evil people.
But because of the overthinking i came to the conclusion that maybe evil doesnt exist or free will dont exist. Both are equally terrifiying. I will explain myself, imagine someone has to choose between good and evil, obviesly they choose good. Now imagine the bad option gives them a benefit. They might choose evil. Does this make them evil. Yes one might say but what made them choose. This means everyone would have been born evil or good and it was no ones choice wich means there was no free will to beginn with.
There must be some higher form of conciousnes wich we do not unverstand in wich we choose for whatever reason good or evil.
I am writing this out of a selfish reason myself. If no one choose ro be good or evil, we have no free will wich is not a reality i ever beliefed we live in nor wanna live in. On the other hand, if good and evil dont exist and are just social constructs, what am i even fighting for. And how do i justiyfy the hatred against some people i have if i now know that they did nothing wrong in terms of morality

The idea that there is no will or that hard materialism is true is self-refuting. You cannot derive any meaning out of a pre-determined chemical reaction. This means that my post, your post, every thought, action and deed of every man in history was nonsensical and happened for no reason other than simple cause and effect.

You shouldn't hate people but it's hard not to in todays world. You might do good if you read ancient Greek philosophy and Christian writings.

Every time you do some evil deed, you automatically become less attractive.

>This means everyone would have been born evil or good and it was no ones choice wich means there was no free will to beginn with.
Everyone IS born evil. And then they choose their way into being better. That's the freedom implied in free will.

>I am writing this out of a selfish reason myself.
It would be selfish if it prioritized your good over someone else's. Since I don't think that's the case, the reason would not be selfish but self-interested, which is not really a vice.

>if good and evil dont exist and are just social constructs, what am i even fighting for
For your conscience. Human conscience produced the constructs to begin with so it's not valid to reduce consciousness to social conditioning.

You have a choice. Choose good, brother.
