The Federal Bureau of Narcotics did not universally prohibit drugs at the national American level, it was just an attempt to get states to pass a uniform set of laws often with extortion because the different state laws were causing black markets and economic problems that threatened some large stakeholders. It wasn't until they actually created a federal framework that the american dream was really terminally subverted to get us to this point in time.

Its not just weed, the entire controlled substance act is a complete farce that has allowed a pharma deep state to completely take over the government to the point that the largest budget item is for drugs and healthcare paid for by medicare and medicaid ahead of even the overt war machine.

That's because individual states are allowed to pass their own laws which sidestep the Controlled Substances Act. They couldn't do that with Prohibition because Prohibition was enforced under the Eighteenth Amendment. You're comparing Apples and Oranges in this regard, Prohibition was objectively worse in nearly every single way.

Not technically, they just refuse to let the controlled substance act go to the supreme court, so there is no way they will ever try to hold states accountable for contradicting it, but the feds can still confiscate all the weed money (which is why the industry still prefers cash and avoid banks) and the DEA/FBI can still raid grow operations and dispensaries in states where it is legal, even if they don't dedicate a lot of resources to doing that.

I think you're reading too far into this. The reason dispensaries prefer cash is likely because banks and credit card companies operate on a federal level and have to comply with federal laws, I don't think it's more complicated than that

They generally can't unless they have some ulterior probable cause like reason to believe said operation is hiring illegals, otherwise the State can invoke the 4th Amendment, as weed is legal in that particular state, and thus simply raiding a growing operation on the basis of the CSA would not be reasonable cause.

Ok, thanks for admitting that it is still definitely illegal at the federal level, the states didn't actually sidestep anything, they just refused to enforce the federal law and the feds refuse to force them to comply since they know the act will be struck down for being unconstitutional just like tax stamps if they push a case to the supreme court.
