Why didn't Americans worked as hard as Japs? Is that because American work ethics was inferior?

Japanese culture used to value collectivism and hard work. Now Japan has gone to shit.

Except the latter didn't, because they follow Shintoism. Shintoism is a religion that promotes hatred of hard work and hedonism. That's why Japanese people only work 20 hours a week on average.

Ecclesiastes, a Christian text, tells you to work hard and love your work. No pagan religion tells you anything like that.

They literally worked for God in that era. The emperor is a divine being. Meanwhile, in America you worked for a psychotic cripple.

>「一所懸命」(Issho-kenmei)
Extremely common shinto teaching, "with ultimate effort and honesty." Espouses the value of hard and honest work.
>「石の上にも三年」 (Ishi no ue ni mo sannen)
"Three years on a stone." Japanese proverb about how even a stone will become warm if sat on long enough. Even if your work doesn't immediately yield results, you must persist.

Also, japanese are famously hard workers.

what is the point of working if you don't benefit from it?

Working hard instead of learning and gaining knowledge is one of the most delusional mentalities to ever have. It's the boomer sugar coated word for a participation trophy.
>knowledge.... so you mean you are a Liberal Arts leftist tranny?
no. Going to college and working hard are both participation trophies. "I worked hard in school, so I am entitled to money now." But at some point, education was seen as knowledge building.

This is why so many people hate ai and ai art. People refuse to accept you cant produce results without muh hardwork and crafts.
