I was reading Robinson Crusoe a month ago and in it there is a section where Crusoe debates whether to save the Spanish Catholics because they're Catholic. He finds the native cannibals more palatable than Catholics. It reminded me of all the other shit that blown way out of proportion like the Inquisition or every single wrongdoing of the church being blown up like it's the greatest blasphemy ever.

Has protestant propaganda from 300-400 years ago really been that effective that we still believe it today? How much of history is just bullshit propaganda.

That's not the point. Anti-catholic sentiment is one thing that's just really obvious to point out given how ridiculous it is you can read the same exact talking points from a 300 year old book as you can today on some dumb 10 IQ 4chan post.
