Spaniards are genetically grouped with Northern Italians, if they are Moors, you are too.

>In their admixture ratios, Italians are similar to other Southern Europeans of the Mediterranean region, and that is being of primarily Neolithic Early European Farmer ancestry, along with smaller, but still significant, amounts of Mesolithic Western Hunter-Gatherer, Bronze Age Steppe pastoralist (Indo-European speakers) and Chalcolithic or Bronze Age Iranian/Caucasus-related ancestry. According to multiple genome-wide studies, Southern Italians are closest to modern Greeks, while Northern Italians are closest to the Spaniards, the Portuguese, and the Southern French. There is Bronze/Iron Age Middle Eastern and Western Asian admixture in Italy, with a much lower incidence in Northern Italy compared with Central Italy and Southern Italy. North African admixture is also found in Southern Italy with the highest incidence being in the islands of Sicily and Sardinia

>A genetic study published in Science in November 2019 examined the remains of six Latin males buried near Rome between 900 BC and 200 BC. They carried the paternal haplogroups R-M269, T-L208, R-P311, R-PF7589 and R-P312 (two samples), and the maternal haplogroups H1aj1a, T2c1f, H2a, U4a1a, H11a and H10. These examined individuals were distinguished from preceding populations of Italy by the presence of 30% steppe ancestry. Two out of six individuals from Latin burials were found have a mixture of local Iron Age ancestry and ancestry from an Eastern Mediterranean population. Among modern populations, four out of six were closest to Northern and Central Italians, and then Spaniards, while the other two were closest to Southern Italians. Overall, the genetic differentiation between the Latins, Etruscans and the preceding proto-Villanovan population of Italy was found to be insignificant

>Genetic studies have indicated that the Iron Age population of Latium was a mixture of preceding Early European Farmers and Western Hunter-Gatherers, with about 30% Steppe ancestry largely coming from the Pontic–Caspian Steppe. However two out of six individuals from Latin burials from Latium vetus were found to be a mixture of local Iron Age ancestry and an ancient Near Eastern population (best approximated by Bronze Age Armenian or Iron Age Anatolian population). In addition, one out of four individuals from Etruscan civilization burials from Veio and Civitavecchia, a female, was found to be a mixture of local Iron Age ancestry and a North African population (best approximated by Late Neolithic Moroccan)

>The results have indicated a substantial migration from the Eastern Mediterranean into the city of Rome and its vicinity in Central Italy during the Principate. Notably, only 2 out of 48 Imperial-era individuals fall in the Spanish-like cluster to which 8 out of 11 Iron Age individuals belong

>Instead, two-thirds of Imperial individuals (31 out of 48) overlap with central and eastern Mediterranean populations, such as those from southern and central Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta. An additional quarter (13 out of 48) of the sampled Imperial Romans overlap with Levantine and Near Eastern populations, projecting close to four contemporaneous individuals from Lebanon

>One study indicates that during Late Antiquity this Eastern Mediterranean migration subsides and is replaced by the migration of northern barbarian European nations. Consequently, the ethnic composition begins to take an increasingly European character, a trend that intensifies during the Migration Period and continues even long after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire, as the geopolitics of Italy tie it ever more with its northern neighbors, e.g. via the Holy Roman Empire. These contrasting migratory waves may have contributed to the modern genetic differentiation along the length of the Italian peninsula, with the contrasting Spanish-like Northern Italy, and Greek-like Southern Italy. The authors suggest that this has also been contributed by Arab conquests, especially via the Emirate of Sicily, after Western Rome had already fallen. This is unlikely, considering that only 0.6% of modern Southern Italians have the typical Maghrebin core haplotype. Overall, the estimated Central Balkan and North Western European paternal contributions in South Italy and Sicily are about 63% and 26%, respectively

The funny thing is that Southern Italy is richer than Portugal.

By GDP per capita Portugal is richer and it doesn't have a northern Italy to flood it with money.
PPP is the to go third world cope, not a good look for southern Italian to hide behind this.

By Central Italy. People from Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna contributed more to humanity in history than Germans and French.

I'm Brazilian, you retard. When I talk about Northern Italians, I'm also referring to the French and Germans, since these are the groups they try to appropriate through Padanian nationalism, although Iberians, especially the Basques, are closer to them than they because they're the people with the most WHG. In any case, unlike other Latinos, our genetics are massively Iberian, so if you call us Arabs, the Iberians are also, just like the Northern Italians they group together.

>In this study, we assessed the performance of the HIrisPlex-S system, which predicts eye, hair, and skin color, on 412 individuals from the Spanish population

>Blue-green, blue-brown, brown-green, brown-blue-green, green, grey, hazel, and light eyes were grouped into the intermediate category. Analysis of the distribution of eye pigmentation showed a majority of individuals with brown eyes (68.78%), followed by intermediate (22.75%) and blue eyes (8.47%)

>Upon observing the distribution of hair color, a predominance of individuals fell into the brown hair category (64.47%), followed by black (25.53%), blond (9.74%), and red hair (0.26%)

>When examining the distribution of skin color in our population, we observed that the majority of individuals were classified as having pale (53.43%) and intermediate (39.71%) skin tones, while dark skin exhibited very low representation (6.86%). No representation was observed for the very pale and dark-black skin categories
