A historian's success depends entirely upon offering new and attention grabbing perspectives by rearranging the evidence in a new and clever way.

No wonder they despise a plain reading of the facts.

something about the usage or writing of history has changed in the past 100 years.....

prior history was written to support whatever political goals were needed

it is only fairly "recently" (in historic terms kek) was the writing of history changed to be more "factual" which of course is impossible given the grand scheme of everything
