Socialism only took Gen Y and Z by storm because Boomers and Gen X did nothing but shit all over the corpse of trade unions for forty years. Without any leverage, it only makes sense working class millennials and zoomers would want the government to come save them.

In eastern Europe, boomers are socialists and gen Y are capitalists

I think it also has to do with the fact that the boomers sold the country out, 80s style. Wages are stagnant while profits are up, jobs shipped overseas. When you can barely afford to survive, much less buy a house, the American Dream becomes a nightmare. So many turn to communism or socialism or fascism as an alternative.

It has? I've seen no evidence of this. I recall people saying the same thing about millennials 15 years ago, and look where we are now.

Idk I saw a video of a Republican senator being booed in his own hometown for saying the retarded normies won't be getting nationalized healthcare. A bunch of republicans screaming "tax the rich". It seems support for the Jewish clown casino we call government is waning.

To be clear, I share your doubts that young people will ultimately embrace socialism, but it's clear they aren't taking the phoney "we can't afford what every other first world country has" excuse any longer. Especially not when Israel continues to drain their tax dollars during these stagflationary times.
