Temples are no longer political entities. The end of Egyptian political tradition, the effective extinction of Egyptian hieroglyphs as a known language. Egyptians under the Romans had a greater freedom of movement and ability to use their land as they wanted. Later Egypt would have greater access to legal arbitration (as well as the entire Roman Empire with Diocletian's new legal system)
