The territory know as the Iberian peninsula was indeed conquered for the most part but the people who lived there weren't the same as modern Spaniards. Punics weren't "between southern italians and jews".
They were for the most part BA Aegean in dna,or at least their mix resembled that position, so they cluster close to Southern Italians, Greeks, Ancient Greeks, Maltese and all kinds of jews, ashkenazi and sephardi.
They had however a few outliers that were fully north african, some intermediate population between north africa and the aegean, and some of the ones in the aegean cluster had some excess nafri.
The closer population to this mix would be Maltese, i.e. A sicilian with some excess nafri.
They could've given you north african admix as well as north african haplos, since they carried both, it just wasn't the primary component.
