If you think about it, blacks have not shown themselves in world history. Black history begins in America. For thousands of years blacks have been on the fringes of world history, while world empires have risen and fallen, while great architectural buildings have been built, while there has been movement forward... blacks have simply... lived and waited for the Americans to come to them.

The Aksum empire was considered one of the 4 great world powers at one point, so how is that not making an impact? Here is Mansa Musa (and by extension, the Mali Empire) being depicted on a European Map. Those empires I mentioned all had their own architecture, science and technology (possibly, but science and tech didn't arise from powerful empires always, what scientific breakthrough can you mention that was created by the Mongolian Empire, for example?), military power, and diplomatic influence.
