god is like gravity, it exists for everyone, but it affects each differently. only thing is that god feeds off your submission. and if you are despising god and your existance and gravity, he in turn will make it worse. just look at every story in the bible, where each character has to be brought to their breaking point, to lose their moral judgement towards god. this is when he shows mercy, but really just enough to show himself through it.
