If the early Muslims failed to build an empire outside of their peninsula they would've just been considered a Christian heresy and Muhammad a Christian saint like Nestor or something

I've read a few books on early Islam and Mohammed appeared to be more Jewish than Christian. But I think it's because Islam was born in Yemen after the Christian Aksumites defeated the Jewish kingdom of Yemen.

They consider Jesus to be the messiah which basically make them identical to ebonites and other early Christians minus the Muhammad stuff. The kooky trinity stuff was invented way later. Not to say Islam or Judaism is any better though.

It's firmly in the Old Testament and Jews believed it until they wanted to try and stop giving Christians ammo

It's made abundantly clear in Genesis 31:11-13 - "The messenger of God said to me in the dream...I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a pillar and where you made a vow to me.".

Bear in mind this is referring to Genesis 28:13 which explicitly says "I am Yahweh". So in the Old Testament, Yahweh has a messenger, who is also himself Yahweh. Sound like anyone you know?

I still consider them a Christian heresy. Jews for that matter have long since lost any kind of theological independence from Christianity. They're constantly dealing with the reality of a Christian controlled world and they're being devoured by crypto-christian Zionists who eliminated the bulk of the Jewish diaspora and directed the rest on a christarded crusade of the holy land, to bring about "millenarian judaism" aka Christianity.

>If the early Muslims failed to build an empire
Muslims never built empires, they overtook, repurposed and shittified existing ones. They aren't builders.
