>Pope Julius II born Giuliano della Rovere
>Nicknamed the Warrior Pope, the Battle Pope or the Fearsome Pope
>Would wear armor and personaly lead his own forces in battle not to the front mind you
He fought some wars agaonst venetians, The french, and made the power of the church higher.
Pick is armor used by one of his cardinals.
He also made Martin Luther have a spergout because he was involved in politics and war

, Julius' armor didn't survive, despite making such a buzz in its time, what pictures you might see on google are all modern illustrations. Luther visiting Rome and seeing the Pope dressed in full armor like this was the defining moment in his journey of opposing the papacy.

if you have the source for the armor description greentext it pl0xe and link it
>made of solid gold
that would be pretty retarded, I think, if that were so a sword would easily cut through it, but understandable for ceremonial purposes, all in all, a bit of a mindfuck

I found this two things,
book should be one recounting seeing the armor in 1800, the pic should be maybe an illustration of how it looked like

well, it was in the spirit of those times. in the battle of Mohรกcs in 1526, five bishops and both archbishops of Hungary died with sword in hand, fighting against the ottoman invasion. they saw themselves as noblemen first, clerics second, thus obligated to go to war if the king says so.
