>lots of resources and habitable areas
>water scarcity isn’t a problem, desalination exists
>“uhh actually the world is overpopulated!”
there’s no evidence for that, but people keep saying it anyway

Where are these resources and habitable areas?

but desalination is energy costly so first you need to make electricity very cheap everywhere and if you want to use it for agriculture it's just not possible economically

Earth is not "full", we can fit another 460 trillions of humans in here if we grind them into a fine powder and store them in giant grain silos that will occupy every inch of Earth

Yeah this has to be a generational battle which is how governments work except sometimes things become lost to history.

Overpopulation is a meme. It’s pushed by childless millennials who want you to feel bad for wanting more than one kid. If there’s space and resources, humans will naturally settle and populate it. It’s that simple.

Canada is pretty spacious compared to its population and density (even if it’s being overrun by Chinese and Indians). Even jungle hellholes in Central Africa are roomy compared to general population density.

The only places where overcrowding is really a serious problem are Dhaka, Lagos, or Hong Kong. Other than that, overpopulation isn’t a real thing.

Overpopulation only becomes a problem when you believe that every person on earth should be entitled to consume as much as the average American.
