I don’t understand the people that say it isn’t. I’m as chud as you can get but the idea that early humans originated in Africa just seems common sense. It’s where bipedal apes developed. If you find a skull or skeleton from 100k or 200k years ago from Africa it doesn’t disprove it. It just means that humans left Africa than previously believed. Like neanderthals and denisovans. They didn’t spring out of the caves in Europe and Asia. They came from earlier hominid migrations out of Africa over 600,000 years ago. I’m not being provocative I want to hear grounded alternative views and why you think they’re a better model.

Look, there are no grounded alternative views. The genetic, fossil, and archaeological evidence all overwhelmingly support recent African origin. Anyone claiming otherwise is pushing pseudoscience divorced from all evidence. It's not a debate in actual anthropology.

It's true and these are our ancestors; the Hadza people from East Africa. West Africans are more divergent however.

there were no blacks as we know them back then. there were no Hadza people either. There was a very early form of anatomically modern homo sapiens that lived in east africa 200k years ago. We don’t really know what they look like. We and the “blacks” share a common origin in them just like we do with chimps if you went back 5 million years
