Plato never existed.
Forget everything you NPCs learned in freshman philosophy. Plato was a complete LARP. He never existed.

The entire thing was a psyop run by a secret society in Athens. Probably included Socrates himself. Their goal? To push their super dangerous, philosophical ideas.

They created *Plato* (the name means *broad*, obvious wrestler nickname or just a nod to his *broad* ideas, it is a stage name) as their perfect aristocratic front. Looks good on a marble bust, makes the whole thing seem legit.

ALL the works are just philosophical fanfic, elaborate plays. We have ZERO original manuscripts. NOT ONE. It is all structured as dramatic fiction, you absolute morons.

They used Socrates, a real historical dude everyone knew about, to give their fanfiction an air of legitimacy. But if you actually read the dialogues without glazing over, the philosophy is all over the place. Positions change, ideas evolve. This isn't one genius thinker developing his ideas. It is either multiple anons shitposting under one name or a single author experimenting with different personas.

Wake up. You've been worshipping a fictional character created by ancient Greek schizos.

No, unlike christcucks, people study Plato for the ideas, not to worship a god.

You think Plato was his actual name, huh?

... We only know about Socrates because of Plato's writings retard

History is fake and everyone in the past was lying about everything for no reason. Now let's talk about medieval black kings and transwomen in antiquity

History is fake as fuck and there was a world war 40 years ago in the 1960s between the Beast and the Saints

Romans didn't read Plato for the philosophy, they did it to learn Greek.

I just figure all historical works are mostly fabricated or contrived. It doesn't matter to me very much if these ancient greek characters were "real" or not. Combined with the awareness that we moderns only ever know about a fraction of a nations culture output, presumably thousands of works have been permanently lost to the historical record.
I thought that was widely understood, like a default attitude of historians not to assume ancient texts have perfect pedigree.

Both Aristotle and Diogenes Laertius confirm Plato's existence.

You mean you don't take fragmentary remarks from scattered sources and use this haphazard mosaic to inform your own personal creedo? Seems like you are on the wrong board.
