I would argue all europeans have hunter gatherer, anatolian farmer and proto indo european dna. They also share culture and religion. It's other places like the middle east and Asia that are way more different to each other than europeans. Even then there are clusters everywhere where the people are similar in one area and pretty different from other areas.

Thats not a proper cluster, its an oval shape. Theirs more distance between east Slavic and Sardinian then their is between Sicilian and Baltic. If it was a properly adjusted cluster you'd either have to make it larger and include some Ashkenazi samples or make it smaller and exclude sardinians, Basque and potentially Sicilians too.

In countries like America where people of Polish+Greek descent occupy a different social stratum from people of Spanish+Native descent and people of Irish+West African descent, "white" is a useful term.
At one point the peoples of mixed european descent were set up to be the founding stock of an "American" race.

Nowadays post-national europe itself is full of such discussions.

Here's a proper west eurasian PCA. Sardinians are not white. Only 15-20% of their ancestry is european. Ashkenazis and sephardics are more european than sardinians.
