churchill was sidelined within his own government when war was declared on Germany, and even after assuming power, he was still second fiddle Roosevelt by the end, and had no real power to make mass territorial demands of the soviet union, and after the war, the British government couldn't push him out fast enough

also no one in these threads ever mention the fact that that Hitler had already formally agreed to part poland (and the rest of eastern europe) with with stalin before the UK alliance was made with poland, so even if the UK lacked the power to immediately come to Poland aid, it still presented literally the only hope Poland had of ever being free
also Germany Invaded poland WEEKS before the soviet union ever touched them, by the time the soviets rolled up, the UK was already engaged in amajor war and there was fuck all they could do against the entire german-soviet alliance
