Historically speaking, why are anglos so puritanical? Why are they so decisively against pornography to the point "obscenity" is an exception to free speech? What is so taboo about sex in the anglosphere?

Like what events or cultural movements explain this kind of extremism and how is it universal in the english speaking world.

The UK and the US are the top distributors of pornography in the world. It's one of the reasons why abrahamic religion is incompatible with whites.

Well according to the weak version of the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis, the language you think and speak in influences thought. English is a quite conservative language it seems, the assumptions it has about reality are very different than say French.

I also heard from a friend (who is British and a communist, so take it as you will) that the weather has a big influence on politics. He claimed that the revolutions of 1848 didn't take place in England because when the organizers were supposed to meet on the big day it was pouring rain. He noted how protests in Britain tend to fizzle out in the winter months and pick up in the summer.

They're about as white as the Roma bud.

Traditional Puritan values are the main culprit.
This question is explored a lot in court cases dealing with obscenity like Roth v. United States. I'd check some of those out, they're pretty interesting.
