The allies had their ace pilots stop flying and spend their time training and teaching new recruits. Nazis never realized this, they instead had their aces keep flying missions until they died. In a similar way they were conscripting tens of thousands of scientists to fight on the front lines during the war. Even Werner Heisenberg who was a Nobel laureate was briefly conscripted into a mountain infantry unit of the Wehrmacht until he was let go. Oswald Teichmüller the mathematician died on the Eastern Front. I'm sure that played part in why the Nazis' cryptography was so bad.

This is just an example of the stupidity of the Nazis, not their superiority. Other nations realized after the death of Henry Moseley that sending scientists and talented people to die as grunts in combat was stupid and those talents would be better used elsewhere.

1. Traditionally, past a certain point you dont put your most experienced warfighters on the front lines, you use them to train new recruits
2. Its easy to criticize both Imperial Japan and the Germans for doing this, in a lot of respects their hands were forced, but this post is some kind of, I'm assuming, way to boost the Nazis, in reality its a kind of brutal self own, a guy with over 100 air to air kills should not be risked in combat
The best coder on Earth should be running a tech company, not doing entry level Java, Rust etc bullshit work with recent grads

good Allied pilots were rotated off the front for R&R and to train recruit pilots. Keeping your best guys in constant danger is an insane risk of institutional knowledge

yeah problem with that is when germany ran out of fuel reserves in autumn 1941 and constantly had fuel shortages in the entierity of the war, either use to fuel to train the pilots or give the fuel to pilots on the frontline. This is probably the reason why even tough in the long term it was a no go

There's also the fact that German aces would just make shit up. The Allies meticulously recorded enemy losses (or lack thereof) in excruciating detail. Want to claim your Sherman knocked out that Panzer IV? Better have eyewitness accounts from multiple other tank crews willing to go on the record about it, then show everyone the wreckage. Germans on the other hand? "Oh yeah I totally downed 200 British planes all by myself, it says so right here in my post-war memoirs". The Germans had basically no real accountability or system for confirming kills. If someone decided to claim that tank or plane he dinged that reversed out of his sightline as a kill, there was no way to gainsay him, especially once the war was over and the Nazi government no longer existed, so there were no longer any higher-ups interested in a rush to examine whether Werner-von-PanzerAceKoff was full of shit or not.
