Russians like Germany insofar as they hope to use it as a tool against England. Same thing with the Poles in reverse- they like England insofar as they can use it as a tool against Germany

Germans partitioned Poland and tried to exterminate Poles and settle the land with Germans even in Prussian times. Then they tried to do the same in WW2, killing a quarter of the population and destroying several cities including Warsaw. And Germany has a lot of control over the EU and tries to interfere with Polish autonomy. Russians are stupid which is why they admire the Germans that tried to exterminate them.

It's more like a love-hate relationship. Some Poles want to be like Germans and see Germany as a beacon of progress, some despise them for bringing 3rd world immigrants to Europe and pushing globohomo. Also, it's a real problem that German companies have too much share in Polish market so the taxpayer money is being drained from Poland.

Germans are the elite stock of Europe. Somewhere in the low Nordic range of racial quality. Poles are in the upper Slavic range.
It goes Nordic > British > Baltic > South West Europe > Slavic > South East Europe.
Germans are three standard deviations above Poles.
Germans know they aren’t at Swedish level and so have a healthy sense of positioning in the world.
Poles know they are Slavic elites and so feel entitled to see themselves as elite. However Germans are better than Poles at everything which leads to extreme resentment from Poles.

This is historical revisionism. Poles won against the Teutonic Order most of the time and accepted vassalization of Prussia, Poland went easy on them. As an example the Teutonic Order massacred the Polish population of Gdańsk and replaced the inhabitants with German colonists, when Poland took the city back they let it stay a more or less German city. We can see that Poland was much too merciful, there was unfortunately no attempted genocide of the Teutons. Let's not forget Poland wanted to Christianize the Prussians, and it was the Teutons that were brought in who decided to enslave and exterminate them going well beyond their mandate.
