We should depot all homeless people to a deserted island in the pacific and have them all fend for themselves until there's only one left standing in which case they are crowned King Hobo and we can make the entire thing into a livestream for our viewing pleasure.

I stuck up for homeless until they shipped in the Califoria ones to vex me. They should not be affecting the housed quality of life.

Most of the homeless in CA are from out-of-state because they all wandered there after Cleetus drove them out of their own states

Why don't we just take all the homeless people and put them on farms and give them medicine that will kill them if they ever drink or do drugs after taking the medicine?

probably some shit that stays in your body that if it interacts with a common drug, would cause a deadly reaction

farm idea is retarded because farms require specialized expensive equipment thats operated by non drug addicts

Most bums in California are meth heads from inland red cities, or they're from shithole red states.
>>17950564
NTA but retarded red judges like Warren E. Burger (real name BTW) made forced treatment unconstitutional because a big chunk of the reeeeetrannielican party are mentally ill schizophenics that would be better off having their frontal lobes scrambled. O'Connor v. Donaldson was a disaster for any serious treatment.
Then your other reeeetrannielican president cut funding for all state mental hospitals and decided that states have a responsibility to take care of the homeless.
This started the republican state/city practice of exporting all their bums out to cities instead of being responsible.
The fatigue is getting unbearable.

Homeless people where i grew up used to respect townspeoples lives, and not bother them. Californians made being a crackhead passed out on the sidewalk acceptable.

They would just do all the picking by hand. Housing, food, medical care, etc etc would all be provided to the workers.

ok but the farming they would do by hand would not make any significant amont of money unless its like a fruit that can only be picked by hand

it wouldnt be much different then just providing all that shit. make more sense that you jsut send them to a work prison that actually trys to rehabilitate them

everybody forgets the rehabilitation part.
because govment ones dont give a shit
and private ones just want that free legal slavery so they plan on people just repeat offending and coming back in

This is probably the best solution. Do this with the ones who break the law (including repeated extreme multiple offense public loitering). Find white collar jobs for disabled ones. If they can not work then they are disabled or belong in an institution.

good luck having that happen when everything is getting defunded, when people wouldnt even do that when they were doing social programs

I have no idea what they country wants to do with homless other then not spend money on it
they wont say they just want to kick them out

Ah, the British solution.
Well if they are working then they are helping to pay arent they? And building a future for themselves. We'll i doubt they could perform labor as well as illegals and we don't do much basic manufacturing anymore so that's a valid concern.

nonono, this is america
the idea that if you give some one aid and that person can become more productive and make up for waht you spent on them, is a ridiculous idea

if these homless people dont figure out how to get a house while being kick out the city and not get jobs because no one want to hire a homless person, then tuff shit

but if they pick them self up by the straps and build a company out of tin cans, thats the american way

My suggestion would not be accepted because it would be "facsist" to require able ones to work or live in a camp. I hate the mention of programs myself. Because all Americans do for social programs is coddle them and make them more entitled. They give them housing money and food. They don't make them work. They don't want to work because they lose this income when they get a job. They give them warm safe houses. This just enables them to live in cold places year round, and attracts more of them. Money spent and no restitution required. FDR did some homeless camps it would be interesting to know more about those.

The genuinely down on their luck people who need a hand are fine.
The degenerate drug addicts who are blitzed out of their minds 24/7 can be dropped into a woodchipper for all I care.

Both are one in the same retard. Many people do drugs to help COPE with stress like unemployment, loss of housing, poverty, trauma etc. You just don't see the transition from the former to the latter because we can't watch it like a flashback.

Labor camps are innately fucked up due to the sheer abuse inherently rampant in it and wage theft being 100% guaranteed in such a system. Also fucks up the wage floor because there's business using homeless to widen their margins without paying a full min wage.

NTA but as a self-described stoner I can say that there are other ways of coping with stress, poverty, and trauma that don't involve drugs. Also drugs are expensive as hell, which if anything makes it a worse coping mechanism for being poor. I think the "homeless drug addict" stereotype is mostly just Hollywood fiction for that very reason, and most actual homeless people aren't doing drugs. The crackheads you see on the street likely have a plug and somewhere to crash and aren't actually homeless, or they're a schizo and everyone just assumes they're on drugs.

>there are other ways of coping with stress, poverty, and trauma that don't involve drugs
Easier said than done. More so when mental health faculties are severely underfunded and drug rehabilitation centers are the same with the extra bonus of being very hard to start up since some location has to be chosen. Also "stoner" lmao that is such a weak point to start out with.

>Also drugs are expensive as hell, which if anything makes it a worse coping mechanism for being poor
Many drugs are low quality and cheap or have flooded the market so the price has dropped.

>The crackheads you see on the street likely have a plug and somewhere to crash and aren't actually homeless
illegal occupation of homes/sites are a thing.
>they're a schizo and everyone just assumes they're on drugs.
People with mental illness to drugs to cope. Which helps until it makes the illness worse which loops back to the start.

No.
You either treat people well or you don't. I'm not talking about some Nazi dark joke or Soviet political prison.
You sound like a College girl or a welfare hustler.
They're homeless, they work as they're able and are not to be mistreated.
Almost all the work I have done is labor, it is not demeaning unless the people running want it that way.
Now grow a pair and carry out my orders.
>>17950775
Homeless people absolutely use drugs and drink.
That's why you use camps, they get clean, get fit, make money, move out.

Yes, yes it would. So abolish the conditions that create homelessness in the first place. Abolish property. Let people sneak into a house in the middle of the night, let them murder and rape everyone inside and let them go unpunished. It's the only way.

It's truly a crime against the American people that these disgusting animals are allowed to stand on the sidewalk and hold signs begging for money. When I am driving my BMW and it is safe to do so, I roll down my window and yell "GET A JOB! YOU'RE LAZY!" It makes those rats so mad, it's funny. Never let them feel comfortable shitting up our world.
