Other cultures with ki
Sorry if this is the wrong board to ask, but do you guys know if there's other cultures with ki/chi?
It seens most cultures have religion and magic where you have to pray or talk to spirits etc, but is asia the only place with ki, where you don't have to worship or study anything and apparently it's more of a warrior thing that gives you supernatural powers even if you're dumb (ie Goku)

Qi is the spiritual energy of the body, it's tied to "regular" powers the same as to "supernatural" powers. Most cultures have something like this, but only Asian cultures seem to have been interested in systematizing it, whereas only Western cultures seem to have been willing to throw it all away in pursuit of more materialist approach to medicine. For example Greek concept of pneuma used to work like this, though like I said, it doesn't seem to have been that widely systematized.

India has prana. India and China border each other so there could have been cultural cross-pollination.

In order to be cognisant of qi you have to practice qigong or yoga. Most practices won't help you learn about it and if you become aware you don't get Dragon Ball Z powers or anything. It's more like an esoteric understanding of your body. Everyone has qi and what qi usually does is mundane. The only somewhat reliable way to go down the path to experience it is to initiate the practice of involuntary movements that you can learn about in genuine qigong or yoga schools.

Polynesians have Mana. Native Americans also have that concept like Orenda, Tonalli, Itz, Camac, etc

Franz Mesmer had an idea similar to this. Kind of pseudo-scientific, but I think it still counts.
