how was shitty little brown Portugal supposed to conquer all of Africa, east asia, india, mena and (non catholic) Europe, all on its own? Did the pope NOT want Christianity to spread? Why not give France its own homework to colonize? Give a part to Naples, one to the Habsburgs, one to poland, etcetera?

It was just a lil agreement between Spain and Ports with Pope as neutral 3rd spectator/arbitration. Plus, same year as this treaty France was marching around and get involved in the Italian wars.
