Right, but what youβre missing of course is the context of Christianity and early Neo platonics and gnostic judiasm. The entire world around you, wether you like it or not, was shaped by a kinda moral code which is derived from Hellenized abrahmism. We have a much more gentle world order, than we did pre 250 ad. Even so from 1980 ad.
Over the past 2000 years, ideas, human self actualization, and morality has culminated in the point that you and I can post on these devices and read it on screens. Even the Chinese dragon has somewhat accepted western sensibilities, at least in commerce.
There are things to learn from Christianity and its offspring, and furthermore, from judiasm, platonics, even Islam.
