OR. Hitler saw the painting (he did) and loved the painting (he did) and modelled his appearance on the god he said he was possessed by (he told Mussolini he'd been possessed). If you look you'll see that it's mostly things Hitler could easily control that create the likeness (hair, costume).

I just read some online shit brother. He bought a bunch of Stuck's work and had it in his Berlin apartment until it was seized after he killed himself (no Valhalla). But... I want to believe. If it was a coincidence and he discovered Stuck after adopting the trademark look, that's a hell of a thing. But he was an art student and had very strong opinions about paintings and shit. Arguably his tastes are what lead to WW2. Unlikely for several reasons to be pure synchronicity. He was a gay drug addict who killed himself.
