Have you ever wondered why atheists are so Hell-bent on convincing themselves that they are monkeys? My guess is that they need to believe in this notion in order to absolve themselves of morality. If you are just a monkey, you can sin as much as you want and it doesn't mean anything. It's just acting like the animal that you are.

Christianity and Evolution don't even have to be mutually exclusive things anyways. One of the pioneers of evolutionary biology and a prominent 19th century paleontologist William Buckland himself was a theologian and a Dean at Westminster Abbey. But much like how Charles Darwin himself had initially studied to be a Anglican Cleric, they were both forced to revise their views of Biblical Literalism when faced with evidence regarding geology and biology than contradicted reality. Neither set out to disprove God, quite the opposite, they were both highly religious, Darwin would even quote Bible passages daily whilst onboard the HMS Beagle. The point is that you can still believe in God while being critical of how the Bible itself is interpreted with regards to real life claims.

Darwin didn't know what DNA even is, yet what we found about DNA lines up with both natural selection and the nested hierarchies we used to classify animals and predict which ones they are closest related to each other. We also see mutations in the lab with very small animals developing new traits and abilities they simply did not have before.
If all that is just coincidence it is perhaps the biggest one is scientific history. Everything we observe lines up with evolution, and trying to explain away evidence is not the same as making predictions or producing evidence in the form of studies.
