Does the movie present any evidence of Polish people putting German kids in blenders which supposedly forced Hitler to intervene? I keep hearing this as justification for invasion of Poland but I've yet to see something substantial ( that happens BEFORE Germans started doing it , so no retaliation)

No, it just repeats the same Nazi lie that 50,000+ Germans were massacred in Poland before the war (without any proof)

You can read the stenographic military transcripts of his meetings with his generals in the bunker up till the day before his suicide. He is trying to coordinate defense and hoping for a breakthrough but seems also aware that its getting increasingly unlikely and thus is prepared to kill himself once the Soviets get close to taking the bunker as falling into their hands alive was absolutely not an option.

He doesn't come off nearly as unhinged as popular media portrays him here although the infamous chimp out over Steiner did actually occur based on survivors testimony more or less like it is shown in Downfall. That tirade of course was not transcribed.
