A common view I've heard that goes basically like:

So isn't this the exact problem that communism has?
How is dialectical materialism any more *real* than any fascist mythology?

Dialectical materialism was enforced as dogma in Maoist China, and they turned out great. Dialectical materialism stems from basic material analysis and class relations, not some mythical hierarchy.

Anyone arguing their own beliefs with no real layer of rationality is impossible to debate with. Leftism is the traditional leader in that sphere because leftism is idealistic, about building a better world. Like your pic. They craft rhetoric that's better than reality. The right is all about inconvenient truths, inconvenient because it's harder to make them sound like glittering optimism. Truths because they reflect how the world currently is, not how it might could be.

I think it CAN have that problem, but I think this is the wrong way to think about it. "Communism" here is kind of an abstraction. What you're really talking about are people. There can be communists who really don't think rationally or even "politically" (as I would see it), but irrationally or in some kind of quasi-religious sort of way.

It stems from a crudely simplified understanding of history and human nature and is then used to make prophecies about the future none of which have proven true

Most successful, lasting ideologies are unfalsifiable. Otherwise they won't stick around past the era they were created for.
Socialism is unfalsifiable, all major world religions are unfalsifiable. Fascism and Nazism, too.

If anything I think Fascism and Nazism are more unfalsifiable, which is part of why they are much smaller in comparison to other radical ideologies.
