You can't ever know for sure though if the feelings you have of religious certainty are born from genuine divine connection or mental illness or just plain delusion born from wishful thinking. If God exists then He can by exercise of His omnipotent power cause me to know with certainty that He exists. If God cannot do this, then He is not omnipotent. If He is not omnipotent, then He is not what theists mean by "God". Therefore, there are absolutely only 2 possibilities

It is moving the goalposts to speak of certainty with regard to knowledge and then speak of certainty as a feeling. Likewise positing an irrational feeling of doubt rather than objective doubt is moving the goalposts and irrelevant. The latter is possible to eliminate in this life, not necessarily the former.
