Do angels have free will?
If so, why did God give it to them? If so, now we know where he’ll comes from. If so, then it makes sense why god didn’t destroy the devil like he did Uzah for touching the ark of the covenant- because he himself expected it. He himself uses hell in his depravity.

If not - god still responsible for hell. He must have engineered the devil’s fall to use hell for his own depravity.

Gnosticism proven correct yet again abwahamshits.

Swedenborgian lore:
Yes angels have free will, as do demons.
Each being has the choice to be whether closer to God or further away, according to what they are comfortable with.
The greater degree of love, wisdom and morality, they closer they will feel comfortable being to God.

Every human at death becomes either an angel or a demon according to their level of morality.

All life is based on cycles, so angels will at times be closer to God, and other times further away, which causes them to feel a state of depression.

But demons cannot survive long if they try to ascend into heaven, as the vibrations of mutual love cause them to feel suffocated, and their lack of wisdom causes them to be unable to see. The spiritual eye is the mind, that sees according to its own wisdom.

>Do angels have free will?
They have free will in the sense that a soldier has free will. Technically but not really. They have orders and if they disobey there are consequences.

Soldiers makes it sound a bit strict.
More like as much freewill as your average american white collar worker. They have some duties to follow, like showing up to work, and laws to obey, but overall theres a lot of freedom.

>Soldiers makes it sound a bit strict.
Even more strict, a human soldier can disobey orders and may get away with it, if an angel disobeys God he get's destroyed immediately.

Angels are just monotheism's attempt to coopt Hellenic celestial gods
They aren't necessary for monotheism to function and actually make the religion less logical

Can someone explain to me how Angels aren't Demigods? They're supernatural intermediaries between God and humanity, this literally puts them in-line with what you would describe as a Demigod in Greco-Roman tradition

Hell is simply the free choice of creatures who reject God; God respects that freedom eternally.

A demigod is a literaly half human, half god hybrid such as the Greek heros. Angels are not half human.
