It shares this title with several oil states and panama with its canal as an equivalent source of wealth, but Kazakhstan has avoided becoming overly dependent on oil and diversified its economy. In this region also is Israel, but while their government seems to support trad values, its government is also utterly insane and I doubt it will last another 100 years.
