NASAcels at it again.

They find one (1) rock and suddenly it is le proof of ancient life?

More like Abrahamics BTFO
There is no actual reason why God couldn't have made life on Mars too within a non-Abrahamic context.

More like Christians btfo. Existence of aliens doesn't harm Islam. That's why you should convert. Science has proved Islam and the Quran on many many many occasions.

It was a standard Christian belief in the past that the other worlds were also populated, based on Isaiah 45:18.

I'm a creationist christian and I don't care at all about whether they find aliens. It has nothing to do with the bible one way or another.

There is nothing in the Bible that strictly denies the existence of extraterrestrial life

Genesis doesn't mention other planets, just the Heaven and Earth, it implies God only created life on Earth. Life on other planets implies that the Genesis narrative is somewhat wrong

Also it leaves a huge gap as well. Christian anthropology implicitly assumes humans are the only intelligent species, made in the image of God (with the exception of angels, divine beings). If intelligent aliens exist it throws a monkey wrench into Christian theology. How are they affected by the fall? Did they fall? Can Jesus save them? Why can't God incarnate on their planet and atone them? It creates so many problems.

The majority of creationists reject the existence of aliens because they know it conflicts with their beliefs.

The Mars fossil is fun and interesting, but it brings with it the terrible and ominous implication that Mars went through an Archean period, but then *everyone fucking died forever*.
I'm most excited to see if Martian critters are related to us or not, if they share the same LUCA cells we have in our bodies. It would be very wholesome, and weirdly creationists on a grand scale, if all life in this solar system stemmed from a single origin.

They tested that rock for an entire year trying to disprove it and it all read back as, "this is probably a germ fossil". The only way to debunk it at this point is to take it home and study it further.

What if for each species of alien life in the universe, the one true god sends them their own custom version of Jesus Christ the redeemer to redo the salvation crucifixion gimick on their planet to save their souls, the same deal an infinite number of time across infinite planets? Nothing is impossible for God so you can't discount this theory just by saying it sounds silly, it makes perfect sense if we extrapolate the Earth version and apply it to other theoretical alien planets.

Ok but then if you found out about those other incarnations would you worship them? Jesus's incarnation is supposed to be unique for Christians. It's supposed to be what redeems the entire cosmos.

Unless I get a clear: "yeah, it's life". I will not buy the hype.
Remember when People got hyped about Nasa saying there was life on Venus?

Not only that, but abiogenesis researchers basically demonstrated how proto cells can develop spontaneously about 2 weeks ago. It has now become extremely likely that life probably forms quite easily and is all over the universe.
Genesis describes the creation of a flat earth with a dome. The bible was refuted a very long time ago.
