Morally and ethically speaking, what exactly a problem with black humor? Why can't I just joke about Holocaust, child rape, september 11 or some dude being killed? What's the harm in that, anyway?

Morally and ethically speaking, nothing. That's not really the issue that people have with it. Rather, you are broadcasting your own lack of empathy and inability to conform to social norms, which signals to people that forming bonds with you is risky and/or dangerous. And no, that doesn't make you cool - It makes you a loser.

It hurts people's feelings. And the only real reason to do it is it makes yourself feel good. So you're just prioritizing your feelings over those of other people, which is generally frowned upon. Of course, it's a little more complicated than that. Sometimes you're talking to a friend who you know has the same sense of humor you do, so no one will be offended, or maybe you're on a website like this one where dark humor is simply an accepted part of the culture and part of the reason people hang out there. So really it depends on the context.

It might arouse negative feelings in people who were harmed by what you're joking about.
Which means you'r emaking people sad to make yourself happy, generally not seen as a positive behaviour.

You should still do it, because being THAT vulnerable is just asking to be taken advantage of.
Better they grow tougher skin off a retard who wants to crack jokes than anyone worse.

It's fine to act self-indulgently when you are alone or with likeminded friends, but you can often predict when other people in your company won't appreciate it, so as a thoughtful and conscientious person you should only act obnoxiously around people when you want to deliberately antagonize people and make them dislike you.

You should've at least posted the /his/ variant of this.

Anyways, the moral qualm comes from someone in the audience potentially having had been raped as a child, or had a father die in 9/11 , etc. You don't have to care, but some people like getting offended on behalf of people who may be in the audience but too scared to speak up or something idk.

Mockery is funny except when it's directed at you. It invites retaliation and can lead to unintended consequences
