Is the trinity wrong?
Anonymous No.18066745

God is literally his own dad and his own ghost? That is some dumb shit.

no. the one true God is the unification of Spirit in Christ that does the will of the Father for their salvation and to ensure their eternal life.

If you want to worship a devil then I suggest you follow modern islam or jew religion.

The 3 persons are distinct persons that share the same essence. They are distinct due to their hypostatic properties, so the son isn’t his father or his spirit.

If you believe that God is love, love requires relations to exist, so God must have relations to be love.

Where in all of those quotes is that doctrine actually taught?

This specific doctrine is taught in different quotes, namely the ones that distinguish between them, like the Holy Spirit proceeding from the father, the son being begotten from the father, this is what distinguishes them. Those that I quoted are only referring to Christ’s divinity.

You don't seem to understand what I mean. You are making a major assertion about the nature of God, and don't seem to have any Scriptures to actually support it. None of those quoted contain or necessarily imply trinitarianism. E.g.
>Philippians 2:7
Differentiates between God and Christ in vss. 6, 9 and 11 in the same chapter, as well as elsewhere in the same epistle (1:2, 11, 4:7, 19).
>John 20:28
"God" applied to other beings, including angels (Psalm 82), earthly rules (Exodus 22:28) including Moses (Exodus 7:1), and even Satan (2 Corinthians 4:4).

I want you to understand the reasons I quoted each verse .
>necessarily imply trinitarianism
The verses I quoted don’t mention the Holy Spirit so I only quoted them in defense of Jesus’s divinity.
>differentiates between God and Jesus
We don’t have a problem with using God and Jesus in the same sentence like when we all him the son of God. The Arian view does not have an answer to how a creature can be in the form of God, this is also consistent in Hebrews 1 where Jesus is the exact form of God, unlike any creature.
>god applies to other beings
These other verses you quoted do not have a monotheistic Hebrew referring to a creature as “The God of me / Ò Theos moi”. He is not a god, he is the God of St. Thomas, if Jesus was not God this would be idolatry. The other deities mentioned are god of this world, Moses acted as God but was never called “The God of me” by a Hebrew, the rest were simply called “gods” without being “The God” of something.

The trinity is blasphemy.

John 10:30-31. Jesus literally claimed to be God (His Father). That's the whole reason the Jews hated Him.
