You live in a world built by people who literally believed so hard they died for it.

Your entire moral framework is a ghost of a Christian skeleton.

The fact you can even call it a larp proves how comfortable their belief made the world for you.

The founding fathers were Freemasons, my country was created as an explicit rejection of Christian values as secularism and liberal democracy go against Christianity.

Fuck off Pablo, your religion is Jewish in origins and was founded by a schizo. If you truly had a brain, you’d understand that both the Bible and Talmud and equally retarded and all copies of both should be burned.

Why do you think that? Is belief in God so irreconcilable with the views you hold dear that you doubt anyone has reconciled them?

What an embarrassment for any religion to adopt anime shit.
Especially the worst part of anime which are the moe blobs and pedo attractors.
But it makes sense if your god is actually Ishtar.

There are people who die for wokeness or racial equality. That doesn't mean that the things they die for are true.

Nobody below the age of 50 actually believes in God. Today you have these grifters:
>the rebel
needs to feel like he's fight THE MAN, man. his "personal convictions" are entirely dependent on what the current thing is. was likely raised by equally secular and merely culturally Christian gen xers.
>the donor
needs to pretend he gives a shit about "the holy land" so that he could continue taking from his church and splitting it with Jewish political interests groups
>the tradcoper
copes his life away but calls it "being traditional" .couldnt get a gf so he coped about being "chaste" instead, despite having porn open on the other tab. social skills are horrible but it's okay because the world is gay and fake (jesus said that o algo). in reality has almost nothing in common with Christian men and women who lived in the past.
>the schizo/psycho
probably did time in prison. believes in occult shit along with co-opting Christian/Hebrew cosmology. His Bible has random verses highlighted that he misinterprets hilariously. probably converted after he killed someone or some other heinous crime.
>the campaigner
hasn't been to church since he was 6. has a heavily edited obscure version of the Bible that is arguably an entirely different text altogether. uses Christianity as a sheep's clothing to take advantage of naive old people. Likely has ties to local politics and lives off tax exemptions despite wagging their finger at da secular liberal gubermint.

There's no shame in resisting self-reflection. It is always uncomfortable. But since you already started a thread about it, it's a great opportunity to reflect on which of your views make it so difficult to accept even a possibility of theism. What are they?

I'm not saying it's impossible for God to exist, I'm saying it's impossible for people to actually believe in God.

That's what I mean by theism, yes. The belief.
I will know that you're right once you manage to express yourself about what views you hold, in your heart of hearts, that make theism an impossibility.
Maybe you're Jordan Peterson and you think belief in God would entail absolutely incredible feats of faith. Maybe you're a hardcore materialist who cannot fathom the idea of the immaterial. Maybe your sense of existential dread cannot fathom the idea of an omnipotent being expecting something of you. The possibilities are endless.

how did region go from historical fact that was so true the church would kill you for questioning it. to, "its actually all just metaphors and parables"

talk about a downgrade, possibly the biggest L in history ?
Anonymous No.18073611

Almost nobody says it's just metaphors and parables. OT might be mostly symbolic, but claiming this was never the cause of someone getting executed. Ironically, it is the renaissance when symbolic interpretations were the most sternly opposed. So yes, it was a downgrade: from symbolic understanding to narrow literalism.

That's a complicated question. It depends on what you mean by "God".
You see, I believe that that we are here implies to some degree that there are forces larger than us.
Now, we can get into the semanticalities of self, and belief, as even the very notion of belief itself can be rhetorically whittled to the bare nub of its meaning.

QED
Nowadays people can't simply say with a strong voice and an iron conviction that they believe in Jesus, Allah, Ahura Mazda etc. It's always "but what do you mean by believe?" or "I think "god" has many different meanings".
They like the idea of believing but do not actually believe.
