Just keep arbitrarily adding more and more stages to your already multistage thermonuclear bomb (there isn't a real limit aside from transportation concerns and and how many resources you want to dump in)
It wouldn't have made sense as a weapon though for a few important reasons:
>Can't put it on a plane or a missile
>10,000 megatons means you're screwing yourself as much as the other guy
