Theres no evidence Hitler was racist. Racism by individual Nazis wasn't especially coherent as an ideology and nobody really bought into it. Furthermore the eastern front was a defensive war that everyone knew would fail and there wasn't any significance to what the fighting was over in most people's view. Germans themselves didn't even show up for most of the war.

No. Hitler mentions German nationalist around that time and certain points he disagrees with them on. One is that there was a section of nationalist that wanted to team up with Indian and Arab and African nationalist in an alliance against the UK, but Hitler speaks out against this because he supports British colonialism. There was never any negotiations to get back that land, Russia never made any proposals to work out some deal, they just kvetched (as a way to distract from internal issues) and then fueled a civil war and then invaded. And Putin isnt even saying he just wants that land, he wants all of Ukraine bc like you already admitted, they dont view Ukraine as a real country/people, but as rightful Russians brainwashed by NATO or whatever.
