I honestly think the German people should have been treated much better during and after the war. I think the mass expulsions from 1918 territory, the occupation and partition of the country, and the bombing of civilian centers were egregious crimes against the German nation. On the other hand I think the German leadership got let off easy. I think every Nazi official who joined the party before 1933 and every member of the SS should have been executed in cartoonishly humiliating medieval style public displays. The functionalist interpretation of Nazi crimes is retarded and I believe Germany was genuinely taken over by a small group of psychopaths who used the country as a weapon against humanity.
