can I get a qrd on the spanish civil war? I just read the wikipedia entry on it, pretty crazy stuff, but I don't expect them to tell me the truth, so what did they manipulate or leave out?

Main thing you have to watch out for in any retelling of the Spanish Civil War is the leftist propaganda narrative that the Republic was an innocent liberal democracy defending itself against evil fascists, if they tell you this I honestly wouldn't trust a word coming out of their mouths. Wikipedia doesn't do that though, they tell you how the Popular Front government let leftist hooligans commit every crime in the book without having to worry about police intervention, and that when the police did intervene they partook in the political violence on the side of the leftists instead of preventing it. Wikipedia also tells you that this state-backed political violence, especially the killing of Calvo Sotelo, is what ultimately triggered the coup.
It's still fucking wikipedia though, you should read a book if you want a well-researched and detailed account of the war. I'd reccommend Stanley Payne.

Bloody insurrection by the communists which started because a rightist party won the elections just 2 years prior to the Civil War. Also note that they even use a different language - when communists do this, it's "revolution". But when their opponents do this, it's a "coup".

Soviet's provoked the war by building up the communist movement. Franco used this as justification to rebel. Soviet's weren't very strong and lost.
First use of modern tanks in warfare, first city bombing, first use of WW2 technology. Was at the time a technology marvel.
The anarchists were a small part of the war inflated due to modern memes. Anarchists got the best land and Barcelona and sat on it then eventually gave up and surrendered.
Republican forces were crippled by the entire industry being taken by rebel areas at the start and gradually fell back, and francoists held out just because of the small group of people behind one person combined with lack of any motivated opposition.
A war caused by indifference and had it kept going then Spain would become a libya-like daesh shit hole.
