Because southerners needed more black men in their homes around their wives. They had to havethem in their homes. They wantrd to secede over it.

Native americans were systematically erased through disease and massacre on their own land. Their population was reduced by ~95%.

Black people were forcibly brought here by the millions through the slave trade to be exploited as labor.
