>Anyone find it funny
No, i find it absurd.
>access the entire vista of human knowledge for free
For now, and its not all that free.
>people who literally believe in magic flying rabbis and jew zombies
1. Some people will believe in anything, because belief requires conviction, not knowledge or logic or sense.
2. People are free to believe in anything.
3. Just because you believe in something doesnt make that something real.
4. Reality has a very neat way of asserting itself onto those who believe in nonsense.
5. Christianity is not as much about believing as much as it is about practice of certain rules (laws) that lead towards societal and civilisational harmony and wellbeing.
6. God is a methaphysical entity. Even in the absense of matter God still exists, much like laws of physics and mathematics.
7. The only way one can believe in "flying rabbis" and "jew zombies" is if one accepts their concrete existence, and even then, one has then to accept that we were visited by aliens (so humankind survived multiple Outside Context Events) who tried to impart onto us ways for a better life. One then must accept that we failed somewhat, as we are a flawed species, and still have a long way to go.
8. Jesus is not a zombie, and never became one. Advanced technology is just that - indistinguishable from magic if you lack context.
9. Jesus is not a jew. He was born one, and then he was baptised - converted to Christianity.
10. God is not a rabbi. He did impart laws onto people, but he is not of the people.
11. God is impersonal, so is Jesus. Anyone can practice and follow christianity, even if they have not been born, or christened, or converted into it.
12. Just like with any religion, christianity suffers from people within it who are just in for the vibes, ritualism, power, money, and everything chrstianity (teachings of God and Jesus) is against.
13. You have to contend with the fact that all religions are made-up by our ancestors.
