Realistically, is there anything he could have done to prevent injun genocide? Whitey were growing in population and if the government didn't do nothing the farmers would have just naturally wiped them out. Moving them is preferable to just killing of them

He could have deployed the US Army to patrol the borders with tribal lands with orders to stop unlawful intrusion of settlers, but doing this would have single-handedly ended his political career and his successor would most likely have restarted Indian Removal anyway (most of the actual expulsion occurred after he had already left office).

You're generally correct and I believe he's given far too much blame for the whole thing. Most of the friendly tribes that were on good terms with the Europeans early on joined the society and were largely assimilated. Largest tribes today are the ones with reservations, their status as bonafide shitholes with tons of rape notwithstanding. I saw a Lenape event in Pennsylvania and every single person looked at least half white or half black. Most of the people who harp on about this haven't really read any accounts of people on the ground. The negative interactions with the Indians were very intense and violent. I've heard theories before that the Salem witch accusations were at least partially caused because the girls were PTSD-ridden refugees from Maine who had watched their families be raped, skinned alive, and killed. Jackson was very quarrelsome but he's one of the more interesting presidents. He makes a lot of people seethe though. I found this page on Wikipedia called "List of violent incidents involving Andrew Jackson" and it's pretty obviously written by people who hate him. My favorite part is when they say that there's no actual evidence of him abusing slaves but that he seems like the type so he probably did.
