Honestly, the whole minstrel show/coon songs/blackface complex looks as if late 1800s/early 1900s America was even more obsessed with blacks in a somehow more unhealthy manner than contemporary culture. It genuinely seems like some kind of fucked up psychological knot I can’t really decipher. I don’t know if I’m missing some vital context that renders it sensible or at least not vaguely repulsive, but it just freaks me the fuck out.

It's not just a function of a centrally planned tyranny. The truth is that humans are violent, evil, and NEED to hate, even irrationally.
The same exact socially contagious hatred that fueled minstrel shows is now turned against white people. Though this time I guess you could argue this was planned. It CAN be planned, in any case, I just don't think minstrel shows were.

Any human being that doesn't realize they're a wretched sinner before God needs to justify their own arrogancy, and they often do so in socially acceptable contexts.
Note: blacks still have lower IQs on average as a simple fact of reality. No need to fixate on them though. You'd imagine people could live their own lives.
