Integration and assimilation can work in small numbers (5%-10%). All you have to do is not isolate the foreign group and force them to live amongst natives. Eventually they will break and become blended in.
This will even work with the least assimilated groups. This is how it should’ve been done in Europe in early 2000s. Instead you let them form ghettos and isolated them.


America was doing the same thing with “free people” of color in the north before the civil war and it was working.

Monoculture is the most important thing, it’s not race, iq etc. as long as there is a majority group it can always assimilate any other group pretty easy, all they have to do is simply force them to assimilate for the greater good. This makes way more sense than things like remigration, I believed criminals should be remigrated but the average janitor or kebab shop owner should be forcefully assimilated and their children should mentally colonized and forced to marry a native of their host nations

OP is talking about Europe, Israel does not have a migration problem.
Look at it the other way: if mandatory palestine had been a better run place it could have integrated Jewish immigrants into their communities. But the place was already a mess and Jewish mass migration due to Europe being a shitty place to be Jewish in that period created a critical mass that took over and completely ruined the arab "host" community.

Assimilation does work and OP is corrected. It just has to be done right and through small numbers.

also Poles took in muslim tatars and assimilated them quite easily, despite them being a marauding turkic group. You just have to make the effort instead of seeing them as cheap labour, even if they are cheap labour, house them next to natives, force them to speak the language, force them to celebrate your holidays, eat your food etc.. their kids will marry natives etc and the problem goes away in less than 2 generations.

Everyone ITT suffers from a kind of temporal bias.

Yes, historically, most foreign groups assimilated, but this happened over multiple generations. But because it happened in the past, you just see the result, not the process. Many modern migrant groups may also assimilate in the same long term as for example Polish Tatars did.

The only good point made here is about Black American's lack of integration, since it is about a centuries-long history, not the last few decades.

By the official narrative they are here to keep the effective birth rate up as the native population breeds below replacement level, and to assist with eldercare. That they are already failing at. Even with the insanely high levels we are accepting immigrants, we are still far below replacement.
Your suggestion is to take in fewer, and to integrate them into the culture that resulted in there being fewer kids. It would undermine the official point of this whole experiment and render itself pointless. The population is below replacement level, and politicians cannot pretend they're doing anything proactive about it. All you've achieved is browning the population, spent billions if Euros for little to no gain, and forcibly jammed browns into the villages whites fled to avoid them.
