This is just a light breakfast, common enough in any variation among industrialized countries before the 20th century. This is how we ate breakfast if at all before the obesity epidemic. Coffee and cigarettes were much more common "breakfasts".

Big breakfasts with bacon or steak or lamb, etc and fried or poached eggs, etc was meant to be more of a rare occasion type of thing, a throwback to when you needed a nutrient dense meal for the day's labor. In those times however most peasants ate some kind of gruel and usually nothing else for brekkie.

I'm poor, lower class and get terrorized, abused, harassed, threatened etc if I eat anything they think "a medieval peasant" wouldn't have had, including things like instant noodles, corn chips, salt, etc which they say is "rich people food" alongside regular brown/white bread and pretty much anything else they sell at the store. They demand I eat the worst food available and abuse, threaten, harass, terrorize etc me if I eat literally anything because they think pretty much everything is "rich people food". I don't get the point of this thread.
