Would Gypsies be less unsavoury if they adhered to a religion or ideology other than Darwinism?

These indians have only been in Europe for 700 years. Give them time to assimilate to the local culture, chuddy chud.

A lot of gypsies in Nordic countries are religious. It has not improved them, they just pray to Jesus whenever some of them is arrested and do mental gymnastics to not actually refrain from sin.

Their excuse for thievery is actually rooted in Christianity. The legend says that a Romani stole the fourth nail of the crucifixion to repair his cart, the fourth nail being the one which would have pierced Jesus's heart, and that ever since God has granted the Romani people the moral right to commit petty thefts for things they need on their travels.
