I think there’s a few reasons, I want to try and answer in a slightly constructive way.
>Many Indians do genuinely see the Hindu-Indian culture as superior to other cultures and with a huge population of Muslims in their country they feel it’s an inferior culture living amongst their own
>This is particularly insulting to them because much of India was ruled by Muslims
>They hate Pakistan, the second most Muslim country on Earth and the government is happy to keep this insane animosity going since it’s a good unifying topic in an incredibly diverse country and can always be leveraged as a distraction from whatever problems are occurring domestically
>There’s been pretty significant conflict between Muslims and Hindus and the other faiths of India so they see them as an enemy, part of the reason they like Israel so much- because they see India and Israel having a common enemy in Muslims
An Indian guy I work with has gone of on a few rants about Indian Muslims and from what he describes they seem to tend towards being lower class and not very sociable with non-Muslims.
